Does it Hurt to Move? I can help!
The human body was built for movement. I bring the benefits and joy of movement to people who are having pain and difficulty moving. I often say “Motion is Lotion.” Even people with physical challenges, age-related or disease-induced movement difficulties, can and do benefit from an individualized movement-based therapy program.
I am a licensed physical therapist and certified yoga instructor who approaches human movement challenges with a deep understanding of body kinesthetics borne from my study of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, yoga and Buddhist philosophy. Each client presents with a unique set of needs and goals, and together we develop a movement therapy program to meet those needs and achieve those goals.
My therapeutic approach is designed to engage your mind, body and spirit in a fun and safe environment.
I hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry and completed my 200 and 500-hour yoga certification from Om Yoga in New York City. I am also an advanced Relax and Renew Trainer® and certified to teach Yin yoga, prenatal yoga and Yoga 4 Cancer. I teach anatomy/physiology and kinesiology at the undergraduate and graduate level and assist the Mercy Doctor of Physical Therapy program on an on-going basis.

Testimonials
“Judi is a sensitive, knowledgeable, and respectful physical therapist. She combined the best techniques from physical therapy and yoga to provide me with an exercise plan to relieve knee pain and increase my strength. She was highly responsive to all my questions and developed an easy exercise routine that I could complete independently.”
– E.D.
“Judi brings both enthusiasm and energy to her craft! She has always brought to my attention new exercises and assistive equipment that can enhance the quality of my life. With her flair for raising the bar, she has shown me ways to continuously improve.”
-Larry S.
“After recently moving to New York, I developed a deep pain in my buttocks that limited my ability walk my usual distance. Judi’s manual therapy skills, stretching and gentle exercises helped me get back to my usual routine with decreased pain.”
-Sandie L.
“Every time I have worked with Judi, whether for back pain, hip pain or core strength, she provides clear instructions and detailed exercises to perform at home. Judi pushes me harder than I would push myself to reach my fitness and weight-loss goals.”
-Rich H.
“As a movement-based therapist myself, I appreciate Judi’s intuitive approach to solving movement challenges. When working with children, she has the ability to make therapy fun and engaging, while still focusing on the necessary movement patterns that need strengthening. The kids love working with her because it doesn’t feel like therapy.”
